Yes, it’s definitely a cop-out when Stewart claims he’s just a comedian — however, anyone who doesn’t see Stewart and Colbert as politically confused probably would be influenced by any nonsense. Colbert comes closer to the great satirists of the past, but Stewart is just a partisan hack who can be funny at times — not often enough for me to watch regularly, but he has his moments. Todd comes across as a little tight-assed, but he does have a point that media shouldn’t join in the partisan hackery as gleefully as they do when it comes to media clowns like Colbert and Stewart.
